TTC at the eGovernment Mikulov 2025 Conference: The New Standard of Critical Communication
At the beginning of September, the eGovernment conference took place in Mikulov. This event is one of the most important professional meetings in the field of IT for public administration. The conference was attended by hundreds of representatives from state institutions as well as providers of technology solutions. The TTC Group was a partner of the conference and TTC MARCONI also contributed to the expert programme.
Martin Bajer from TTC MARCONI gave a presentation on “MCX, the new standard of critical communication from the cybersecurity perspective.”
In his presentation, he focused on reasons why the current narrowband technologies (e.g. TETRA, Tetrapol, and P25) are no longer sufficient for the current requirements of the components of integrated rescue systems, as well as the energy and transport sectors. The new MCX (Mission Critical Services) standard enables not only voice transmission, but also data and video communication through 4G/5G mobile networks in line with the 3GPP standard.
The presentation also covered the security layers necessary for deploying these systems – from standardization processes and secure development and implementation to operational measures. One practical example of such a successful application can be seen in France, where MCX has replaced the existing Tetrapol system and was also used also during the organization of the Olympic Games in Paris.
A videorecording of the presentation is available (in Czech) on the YouTube Channel of the Egovernment Magazine HERE.
