AWOS launches its fourth production line, reacting on the growing demand for industrial electronics production
AWOS, one of the largest Czech independent operations of industrial electronics, has strengthened its production capacity. Thanks to this new production line and the modernization of one of its current lines, the company has increased its production capacity by approximately 30 percent. AWOS is therefore reacting to the significant increase in demand which occurred over the course of last year and also to the growing trend of returning the electronic device operations back to the European market from its previous position in Asia.
“The coronavirus pandemic and the current geopolitical situation have caused significant turmoil in global business relations. It is currently more difficult and expensive to ship goods from Asia than it was in the past. This has also affected the electronics manufacturing sector. Thus, the companies in the Czech Republic as well as in Europe are now trying to at least achieve partial self-sufficiency and are seeking suppliers on the European continent,” says Lenka Šírová, director of AWOS.
Pardubice-based AWOS is focusing on the European market. Customers from Europe create roughly 90 percent of its orders. 80 percent of this figure goes to the Czech market and the remaining to other markets within the European Union.
