Mycroft Mind Strengthens Its Management

The Brno-based technology company Mycroft Mind announced today personnel changes in its management. Along with these changes, the TTC Group’s shareholding in the company will be further increased.

The new member of the Board of Directors and CEO of Mycroft Mind is Matěj Vichr, who has been working in the company for the last three years as Project Implementation Director and Project Manager for key contracts in the field of modernization of the Czech energy sector.

“Matěj and I have worked together very closely over the past year to manage the developments in the collection, storage and processing of measured data from energy networks. His goal now will be to further expand the current activities of the company and transform it into a major European player not only in these areas, but also in the creation of software embedded in chips designed for smart meters, whose task will be to optimize the production and consumption of electricity in the decentralized energy sector,”  say Josef Šelepa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TTC HOLDING and also Chairman of the Board of Director of Mycroft Mind, who temporarily led the company after the acquisition.

The company’s management has also been strengthened by Tomáš Bort, who is taking over the management of project implementation. At Mycroft Mind, he will be responsible for strategic initiatives within the IPCEI programme, that are using AI/ML algorithms developed by Mycroft Mind for smart meters in the energy sector. In this field, he will also be responsible for working closely with chip manufacturers and end users.

TTC Group, the major owner of Mycroft Mind, further increased its ownership stake by purchasing a 10% stake from Moore Technology CZ. TTC Group’s total share of Mycroft Mind has thus increased to 80 percent. The remaining shares are still held by Support Universal (10 %) and Filip Procházka, co-founder and director of Mycroft Mind’s product development (10 %).

Josef Šelepa comments on today’s announcement: “Today, Mycroft Mind is one of the key companies of the TTC Group due to its focus and the people who are working there. I firmly believe that strengthening its management will help achieve our long-term goal in becoming a European leader in data collection, processing and analysis for the energy industry. By developing artificial intelligence-based modules for smart meter chips, we would also like to support the European Commission’s goal of increasing the share of chip production in Europe to twice the current level of global production, i.e. to around 20 percent by 2030.”
